And so to bed
It was a cold and grey weekend.
Indoor weather.
So I baked.
Almond Macaroons
Chewy, nutty and more-ish!
Wherever you are in the world, bedrooms seems to have one thing in common.
A bed.
But interior styles differ considerably depending on where you live in the world and yet sometimes it's hard to tell the country from the interior design. The world is getting smaller. There is a sharing of cultures and styles.
A little bedroom inspiration, not quite a world tour...

Hi Sharon, personally I like comfort and style, but I would love to recreate the Africa room in one of my spare rooms. That room is awesome!
ReplyDeleteHi Lori, I agree it's so colourful with a mixture of different patterns yet they all make a cohesive vibrant whole. Sharon x
DeleteHello Sharon :)
ReplyDeleteMmmm yum Macaroons! They look so good...I'm going for a pinky sepia old romantic theme in my bedroom but if i had to choose from the above i really love Italy,I really like the covered side tables and lamps and the bench at the bottom of the bed is so glamorous x
Hi K, I promise to do a post you'll enjoy soon! I know you love dreamy pastels and English country so I'll keep that in mind when I look for pics! Have a lovely week :)) Sharon x
DeleteI too baked at the weekend. I love it, music on and getting to it. I also don't mind if I'm surrounded by my people. My eldest boy licked the mixing bowl clean right. Going on 18 and still got excited!
ReplyDeleteI have the same thing going on, whenever I bake, I'm surrounded by young adults fighting over who licks what! Baking is so rewarding! Take careX

Hi Silvia, it's hard to imagine a life without internet, iphones and skype and blogging - it makes us all feel much closer to each other, and we all have things in common, like interior decor!
DeleteHave a lovely week and thanks for stopping by. Sharon
I think I go for comfort and style. I love the African bedroom and the Italian bedroom best. I think you're right, the world is getting smaller and cultures are crossing... makes for such an interesting time to be decorating, eh?
ReplyDeleteI'm the same Cindy, I want comfort, the coziness factor and the style as well. Our summers are short, so I like to layer and have different textures to create a feeling of warmth. It seems like we are all doing the same thing the world over :)) Have a lovely weekend! xx
